Brit Bella Comerford wins World Long Distance Triathlon Championships in Australia

Britain’s (Scotland’s) Bella Comerford won the World Long Distance Triathlon Championships today in Canberra Australia - and her partner Englishmen Stephen Bayliss finished in 20th place in the men’s race. Comerford (www.bellacomerford.com) commented on her win; “After winning Ironman Florida two weeks ago and the HomeDeFerro Triathlon in Spain before that I have been feeling on top of the world and unstoppable. Even though you never know how it will go so I gave it my all”.

She continues “I really had to work for it with the Italian closing quickly on the run. I am so excited and hopefully this is only an indication of things to come in the future.”

This is Bella’s first World Championship and it is also the first time a British women has been crowned World Long Distance Triathlon Champion.
